Hot Springs around Invermere

Radium Hot Springs
Canada's largest natural hot spring is located at the west entrance to Kootenay National Park in Radium - just 15 minutes north of Invermere. First officially discovered in the early 1800s, the Radium Hot Springs has become one of the valley's most popular attractions. The main hot pool is just over 100 meters in length and is surrounded by the cliffs of Sinclair Canyon. The average temperature of the hot pool is a muscle soothing 39°C. Fairmont Hot Springs
The valley's other large natural hot spring is located 25 minutes south of Invermere at the Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. The main aqua-court is divided into three areas; a swimming pool, diving pool and hot pool, so it's ideal for swimmers and soakers alike. Water temperatures range from 30°C in the recreational pools to 41° in the hot pool. A private pool is also available to guests staying at the resort. Lussier Hot Springs
Looking to get away from it all? A visit to Lussier hot springs and that's just what you'll get! Take your pick of three natural pools tucked into the mountainside at Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park (75km south of Invermere). Stepping down the slope, temperatures range from 44°C in the top pool to 30°C in the lower pool, right next to the to the rumbling Lussier river. The surroundings are raw, beautiful and free to visit other than the drive and a 5 minute hike.
